Wood
is a natural insulator because of the presence of air pockets within
its cellular structure. It is known to be 15 times better than masonry,
400 times far better than steel and a whopping 1770 times better than
aluminium and a little less for plastic in insulating a home
As previously mentioned, wood has natural insulating properties, which
means it’s perfect for keeping the heat inside your home. Though uPVC
frames have improved in terms of energy efficiency recently, they
certainly don’t out-perform timber windows on energy performance. Plastic windows are made of hollow tubes/sections
Aside
from these amazing properties, wood is also hygroscopic and has the
natural ability to exchange moisture with the surrounding air. This
creates a buffer in cases of short-term changes in humidity as well as
temperature
A range of trays for customers to use as a base for added value. Once the customer has applied their chosen finish these trays can be resold to domestic and commercial markets. The trays come finely sanded to 120grit and all surfaces are smooth and ready for a finish. The softwood trays are sold in minimum batches of 10 units
